 | FacilitiesBiomics Centre: The Medical BIOMICS centre is the world’s first purpose built facility combining genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics on a clinical site. This facility provides the opportunity to carry out integrated analysis of the molecular basis of complex disease processes in a custom built facility. The Centre can play a major role in clinical and biomedical research. The facilities available can assist in the development of novel diagnostics, in the identification of new therapeutic targets, and in increasing our understanding of the pathophysiology of disease.
| Key technologies available: SNP analysis, gene arrays, SELDI-TOF Protein arrays, 2D gels, mass spectroscopy, carbohydrate analysis, dissection microscopy, HPLC, RT-PCR
